Canonically I really just don't understand so much. We have the talonflame 2, named after, you guessed it, talonflame. Well when we were watching Pokemon advanced, how many talonflames did we see? You guessed it, none. So if ashs ENTIRE journey has been like a year, does this mean every Pokemon from the newer regions weren't even known of in the previous regions? We know that the professors of each region are AWARE of newer things like mega evolution and dynamax, but why weren't we told about them years and years earlier? Like yeah I know I'm sure talonflame wasn't even being created at the moment but still, when ash goes back to an old region we see all these new Pokemon. Did they all arrive in the same year ash started his journey? Like when did cynthia catch a komollo or whatever it's called, and when did Erika catch leafeon. I just hate it man
